The Piercing Shop had been so successful over the previous fifteen years that, in January of 2008, it became AccuPierce Limited.
The first impression that the new client gets, when entering the shop, is an overall feeling of cleanliness in a pleasantly subdued setting, which is the main sales area. Here one can leisurely browse the jewellery on display or make enquiries about that secretly desired piercing.
At the rear of the sales area lies the piercing studio with it’s electrically operated couch (recently re-covered in Teal . . . our favourite colour!!).
The cabinets are finished in a pastel turquoise which is very restful to the eye. This theme is continued with a surgical floor in mottled green and black.
These colours are designed to make the client feel more at ease, and this philosophy certainly seems to be effective judging by the clients who return time after time.
Strategically placed (safely) on the ceiling is an abstract hand painted canvas picture that definitely helps to distract from the proceedings.
There is also a double sided very cute picture on the wall opposite the couch where young clients sit to have their ears pierced simultaneously. This helps to keep the head in the correct position so that the positioning of the earrings is spot-on.
Also at the rear of the sales area is another studio that houses one of the latest Eschmann sterilising autoclave machines. This is where a lot of work is performed behind the scenes.
On the second floor is a purpose built cleaning room where the initially sterilised equipment is Ultrasonically cleaned, rinsed and dried ready for the final Vacuum sterilising process.
There is a second room on this floor containing another sterilising autoclave. This room is where most of the Research and Development is carried out on new projects.
On the top floor is the office. A necessary part of the whole business.
